Weekend-Proof Your Diet: Your 3-Day Game Plan

This is what I struggle with every weekend, so I have decided that weigh in day will now be on a Monday.

I'm sure I will keep more on track over the weekend and be a bit more accountable.

I haven't had too bad a week. It did take me a while to get into the swing of things, especially with having the boys home due to a public holiday on Monday. I did exercise Wednesday, Thursday & today. Tuesday was spent at my youngest son's school watching him at his sports day. Though I did a fair bit of walking from one event to the next. ;)

Another long weekend here in Queensland this weekend, so my aim is to exercise each day and to watch what goes in my mouth. I may even try to keep a food diary so may even blog that.

Mid-week Update

Just a quick update.

I've been not too bad this week so far. My eating has been on track and I have exercised yesterday & today. I was off track a little over the weekend with no exercise and a few drinks and nibbles on Saturday night. I'd had a rather stressful day trying to work out how to get DS13's Ipod Touch working. It was his birthday present and I was so disappointed that I couldn't get it working. It turned out it was a problem with our anti-virus blocking some parts of Itunes. We finally got it working, then my parents arrived for a bbq, so I figured to have a few drinks (all with Coke Zero though).

A friend posted this photo of me on Facebook yesterday. This is what I hope to look like come October. The dress I'm wearing is what I hope to fit into for my sister's wedding.

I can't believe how skinny my arms were!!!! :o

No change

No change this week. Though I am not surprised with AF due and with the gain I had after Easter and our few days up the coast.

I've been good with my eating this week and have exercised Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday with 30 minutes on the treadmill each day.

A big weekend with a birthday bbq for my son who turns 13 tomorrow, then another bbq on Sunday. My plan is no alcohol and no bad nibblies.

Home from Holidays and I think I Left My Motivation Behind!


Yes, all motivation as left the building. I seem to get short bursts of motivation, "yeah I can do this", "tomorrow will be a new day", but come morning I've got nothing!

We had a lovely few days away. Our apartment was really nice and the weather was great. I did 2 morning walks with my sister and did lots of walking to and from the beach, and to and from my parents apartment a few units up the road.



My eating wasn't too out of control. A few drinks each evening and some nibblies were probably the worst of it.

Oh except for the fish & chips I had one night. I was craving them all day, so DH got them for dinner. Boy I enjoyed it, but geez my stomach didn't afterwards. That grease did not agree with me at all!

So what am I going to do to get my mojo back?

I can identify where I am going wrong.

1. No exercise

So I will start off getting back on my treadmill for at least 30 minutes each day.

2. Not enough water through the day.

Aim for 2 litres each day.

3. Nowhere near enough veges or fruit being eaten.

Tomorrow I will be doing a big fruit & vege shop to restock the fridge with healthy alternatives.

I've found that instead of a salad sandwich and fruit for lunch I've been having a couple of eggs, which in itself aren't too bad, but the veges are lacking.


Due to being away last Friday, I didn't weigh in. But I couldn't help myself and weighed in when I got back from our holiday. I put on about 1 kilo from my previous weigh in. I don't plan on blogging this officially on my chart, but will take my weight this coming Friday as my new weight.

Happy Easter!!

Happy Easter everyone! :)

Not a bad loss this week, though a little more would have been better. I've exercised sporadically this week.

Weekend - Nothing
Monday - Half hour treadmill
Tuesday - Nothing, though I did vacuum, upstairs & downstairs, plus mopped, so did raise quite a sweat
Wednesday - Nothing (was at the hairdressers and running around for the day, not literally running, but you know what I mean).
Thursday - Half hour treadmill plus 10 minutes boxing on the Wii Sports Active.

My treadmill workouts are a bit more intensive seeing as DH thought it was a good idea to elevate the treadmill without telling me. LOL I Thought I was finding it a bit tougher!

Today I have the washing pile from hell to get through, so plan to find some time on the treadmill this afternoon. DH is working 12 hour shifts all over Easter, then we are heading off for some time up the Coast next week. I can't wait for that and plan to do a few walks on the beach in the early morning.


Confession for the week: I hereby confess to eating 3 pieces of rocky road that DH bought home from work yesterday. It was homemade and was devine! My easter treat I shall call it. ;)
